Self Assessment Framework

TThis is the CBA Framework tool for assessing an existing programme. Below you will see the AfN list of core competency areas. When you click on CC1a this brings up the competency description, a space to input the full name or code of modules you teach that relate back to this competency and a list of assessment types. Select the assessments you implement in the modules you list, then proceed to the next competency on the list. When the sections are complete for each competency a green tick will appear beside the competency code making it easy to identify incomplete sections on the page. At the end click ‘Generate Report’ and a downloadable PDF will be created outlining the assessments implemented on your course and a score highlighting if the assessment methods chosen match up to each competencies level on Miller’s Pyramid. This will allow the user to assess if there are any gaps or areas for improvement for the effective evaluation of a student’s competency development.

*Please note this list of assessment types is not inexhaustible and if you use an assessment method you think should be added to this list please let us know by submitting your request on the Contact Us form*
