CBA Framework
This is the CBA Framework tool specifically for creating a new programme. Below you will see the AfN list of core competency areas. When you click on CC1a this brings up the competency description, the position this competency is linked to on the Miller’s Pyramid ‘Knows’, and two possible assessment types. In this case, these assessment exemplars were chosen as they link back to the Knows level of the Miller’s Pyramid and therefore are effective assessments to cover this competency. Choose one exemplar under each competency and proceed to the next on the list. When an assessment exemplar is chosen the tick beside the competency code turns green making it easy to identify incomplete sections on the page. At the end click ‘Generate Report’ and a downloadable PDF will be created outlining a possible system of assessment for your new nutrition programme.
*The exemplars shown below are examples of assessment methodologies that are suitable for assessing the associated competencies. They are a selection of possible assessments one could use in this instance but equally you can use another type of assessment.
